An 85 year old shop customer of mine, Bill Savery, has decided to rid himself of some responsibilities. He has 2 boats for
sale, one has a 135 Chrysler on it, and the other has 2 inline Mercs on it, one a 150 and the other a 115. Both have
Quicksilver lower units. Supposedly both run. The Chrysler definitely runs, and even has a new ignition system. Can't say too
much about the boats, not being experienced in boats of this vintage. If you are interested, email me for the phone number.

What are the boats and what type hull? Is the 150 hp merc an inline 1500 XS or just a 1500?
thanks

I've only seen photos of the boat with the Mercs on it, and it's been nearly a year. Bill Savery, the owner, had planned to bring them in to the shop to have them gone over, water pumps, tuneups, carbs, etc, but never got around to it. I installed the ignition on the Chrysler, along with cleaning the carbs, replacing the water pump and rerigging the steering about a year ago. I have never lake tested either boat. I'm not familiar with the brand of either boat, but Bill calls the one with the twin Mercs a "Lana" or "Atlanta" boat. The best I can recall, the Mercs are 20", but both have "Quicky" lower units. Bill says he believes one of the Mercs needs a stator. I can email you a phone number if you'd like.

Thanks for the info-- e-mail me the number. If I'm not interested I may be able to find someone who is. I'm in contact with several people who collect and run classic stuff like that.
Thanks, Scott

I talked with Bill again this morning,(his car is in the shop too), and he says the Mercs are 15" shafts, and that he has props for both. The Merc boat is a 16' Atlanta, and the Chrysler is a 15' MFG. Both are early seventies hulls.
