Jack, I received the Et prop I purchased from you per the above post. I got it the day I left on vacation. Took a quick glance it did not appear new as advertised however I figured for the price it was probably ok. Now I am back and giving the prop further investigation only to discover that the numbers stamped on it are that of a 22 chopper. It is now clear that this is not a factory merc ET at all but rather a chopper with someones idea of the ET cut. This is not what I bought. It is not a bad copy just not what I wanted. I am sorry if this is new information to you and possibly you had been misled, but I do not expect to be. Please contact me so that you can refund my money and I can return to you the prop. I have been watching this thread with great interest and now feel the urge to add a few comments.
First of all, I have known Jack since about 1994 and I have to say there are few more honest guys around than Jack. He tells you right up front what kind of shape the product is in and what to expect. I have bought a lot of stuff from him and sold a lot of stuff to him from boats to props and everything in between so I speak with some authority when I speak of his character.
Secondly, The Lightening ET in question is a true Lightening ET. I remember when he bought it. I thought it was common knowledge that Lightening ET's are made from 'big ear' or V-6 Choppers. That prop is indeed a factory Lightening ET direct from Mercury. I am sure that Jack will take care of this situation. If the prop was returned to Jack in the condition he sent it... Jack will take care of his end of the deal.

So what is the story on the E.T.? I've had two merc. et's with a whole different set of numbers that looked much better than some of the so called early et's with chopper #'s. I currently have a true et and a et with chopper #'s and again the true et seems to be of higher quality. Any information is appreciated.
