225 Promax preventative maintenance

My 225 Promax now has 42 hours total time. It is about 14 months old and so far I have not added any type of fuel/carbon additive such as ring free or techron, etc to my fuel. I have been using Merc Premium Plus since day one. Should I begin to use any supplements with my fuel (93 Amoco always)??? I realize that carbon and heat are the killers of all outboards. I would be curious to know who has the most hours on their Promax without internal failure and what kind of maintenance program are you on? Kevin

run a can of power tune through it then switch to Pennzoil 100% synthetic just like Jay Smith said to. i know he's tired of repeating that over and over again. he works in the oil business and builds race engines. if he doesn't know... who does?
