I have a cherry V-6 Yamaha lower unit for sale. It has new gears and drive shaft just collecting dust here. E-mail me if interested.

Hey there ,
Do you know the year , gear ratio ,has the lower ever been worked on , I am interested but it must be one that has never been welded or bent.

Thanks
Jeff.

The lower unit is one I had rebuilt for a Crabber and got stiffed. I don't remember the gear ratio but it came off a 200 like a 97or98. The drive shaft is brand new the gears and everything inside is prime stuff. The only welding that has been done is a torque tab on the skeg. I had though about putting a nose cone on it but didn't think there would be such a big market for it. was hoping a fisher man or an other crabber would need it. It is a good unit. I just don't run Yamahas if it was a mercury unit it would not be for sale.

If it came off a 200, the gear ratio would be 1.86.

Is this a Pro V unit? If not are they compatible with my 94 Pro V 175?

That unit will work on your pro-v I was asking $1000 -or make me an offer I can take pictures and send them. It is a good unit I just got stiffed on the repair bill. With the seals, water pump, drive shaft, bearings and gears I have more than a $1000 in it. It is pressure tested and full of the High performance lube.
